ABOUT

MISSION AND HISTORY

The Miami Carol City Senior High Alumni Association was founded in October of 2015. Our organization’s purpose is to foster a lifelong spirit of belonging and pride by connecting alumni, students, teachers, and friends of Miami Carol City Senior High to one another. The Miami Carol City Senior High Alumni Association’s mission is to advocate and support the school and its alumni with a credible, independent, and collaborative voice.

According to the 2014 Census report, only 80.6% of residents in the Miami Gardens area completed high school and a devastatingly low 14.6% has an associate or bachelor’s degree. When compared to the state and national educational data, the residents of Miami Gardens are not taking advantage of post-secondary educational opportunities. However, if given the academic and community support, we believe many of our students can be first generation higher education graduates. It is time to recapture our community and its spirit and it all starts with the future – our children.

Complete the application and join the association today! Put your time where your pride is. Take a look at our committees to see how you can get involved.
